Author Biography

James Onohuome Uhomoibhi, University of Ulster, Northern Ireland, UK

James O. Uhomoibhi received his BEd degree in Physics from the University of Benin in 1985 and his BPhil from the University of St Thomas Aquinas, Rome in 1987. He received his MSc in optoelectronics and optical information processing and PhD degrees in Physics from Queen’s University Belfast in 1988 and 1994 respectively. He was a research fellow and then a lecturer at Queen’s in the Department of Physics. Since 2004 he has been lecturer and Faculty E-Learning Coordinator at the University of Ulster. He presently heads the STEM (Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Education Research Group. His research interests are in technology integration in education, virtual and remote laboratories and laser engineering applications and photonics.
